Otherwise, If you require fully equipped conference facilities, it is possible to rent conference rooms from other hotels located along the beach close to the resort.

Our restaurant has an extensive Thai and Western menu. Dishes range from 75 Baht to 320 Baht. We also have a children’s menu which ranges from 70 Baht to 90 Baht with a selection of Western dishes. There are plenty of delicious meals for the whole family!

Do you accept groups, parties, and school groups? Can you prepare special BBQs and menus?
Yes, we often have companies and groups of friends, birthday parties, anniversary parties, and school groups that come to the resort. Some groups come annually. We assist in the planning of all aspects of such events and our food and beverage team can tailor set and buffet menus to the special needs of the group.
Do you have laundry service for guests?
Yes we do. Our laundry service charges between 10 and 30 Baht per piece of clothing. (A 10% service charge applies). Clothing articles handed in before 9am are usually ready by the evening of the same day.
Do you have WiFi?
Yes, for those of you who bring your laptops along, we have WiFi internet access for 1 Baht per minute. Minimum usage is 30 minutes for 30 Baht. Otherwise, usage is sold in one hour increments. A password can be purchased at the front desk. You can sign on and off until your time has been used. We also have 2 desktop computers for guests' use at the reception area at the same rate as WiFi.
WiFi coverage is generally very good. The signal is strongest in the restaurant area, but also reaches most of our rooms.Do I need to reserve and rent sun beds and beach chairs?
We have plenty of sun beds and beach chairs for your enjoyment free of charge on a first come, first served basis.
We noticed your pool water is salty. Do you use sea water to fill the pools?
We use pure water from the municipal system to fill our pools. We have what is called a saline (salt-water) purification system. Instead of adding chlorine to the water, we add small amounts of salt, which is converted to chlorine by our saline chlorinator. This has the advantages of less irritation to the eyes, especially for kids, and a milder, more uniform distribution of chlorine in the water.
If you're interested, you can find more information about saline pool systems here.Do you have a kid’s club?
No, we don't have a kid’s club. We do have 2 swing sets, a playhouse, a water slide, children’s pool, bicycles for rent, board games, and some great excursions in the area, though, to make your children’s (and your stay) more enjoyable.
Do you rent bicycles for children and adults?
We have children's and adult's bicycles for rent for 50 Baht for 4 hours or 100 Baht for 8 hours daily. We are sorry but we do not have overnight rentals.
We also have a limited number of bicycles with child’s seats on the back.
Do you rent motorcycles?
We offer our staff the opportunity to rent out their motorcycles to earn some extra income. Rental fee is 300 Baht for the day. Since this is a business transaction between you and the motorcycle owner, and since none of the motorcycles are insured, if anything happens to you, the motorcycle, a third party, or another motorcycle/vehicle, the resort will bear no responsibility and you will be responsible for any resulting costs. When returning the motorcycle, the petrol should be filled to the level at which you received it.
Do you have an ATM cash machine at the resort?
There is an ATM cash machine a 2 minute walk from the resort.
Please note: This is the only cash machine in the area and it sometimes runs out of cash so we advise planning ahead before coming to Dolphin Bay to be on the safe side. Are there banks near the resort?
The nearest banks are in Pranburi (20 minute drive, 18km) or Hua Hin (40 minute drive, 38km). Transportation can be hired from the resort to take you to Pranburi or Hua Hin.
Do you exchange money at the resort?
In emergencies and depending on availability, we can exchange small amounts of US dollars, Euros, and English pounds only at the front desk, however to get the best rate, we suggest you change money at a local bank or use the ATM machine.
Can I pay my bill in another currency other than Thai Baht?
No, sorry, we can only accept Thai Baht. We prefer payment in cash but also accept Visa and MasterCard.
What is your policy regarding tips?
Tipping is optional, but if you feel you'd like to show appreciation for good service, there are tip boxes located at the bar and the reception for this purpose. Most people usually leave a tip when checking out at the end of their stay. All all tips put into the box are shared by all staff members equally.
GALA DINNERS ON 24 AND 31 DECEMBER - My family and I will be staying with you over Christmas and New Year's Eve. We understand there is a compulsory dinner for 24 and 31 December. Will we be charged for the dinners even if we decide not to attend?
Yes, every guest booked into the resort whether or not they choose to attend the gala dinners on Christmas Eve and New Years’ Eve will be charged the gala dinner price plus a 10% service charge.
Since the resort goes to some expense to organize entertainment, decorations, and an extensive buffet for these evenings, it would not be possible to hold such events without a guaranteed number of attendees. Our staff works hard to create a warm, festive atmosphere on these special holidays, and past years have been memorable for all who attended.
Note: If you check around, you'll find out that this is standard policy for the vast majority of hotels in Thailand. Whereas most hotels in Hua Hin hold similar events at greatly inflated prices, we calculate our gala dinners at cost, so as to give the best value to our guests.
If you have an objection to this policy, we can only suggest that you plan your stay with us so it doesn't coincide with these dates, but we do hope you will decide to join us! We thank you for your understanding. My family is scattered around the world. I have heard from friends that Dolphin Bay Resort is a good place to meet up. Is this true?
Definitely. We have had many families who have picked Dolphin Bay Resort as a good meeting point for a 'family reunion' of family members spread out over the globe. Our different types of accommodations afford family-type living in our 2 and 3 bedroom apartments and 6 bedroom villas, as well as more separate accommodations in our bungalow and upper floor rooms, according to the needs of your family.
Where do most of the guests that stay at Dolphin Bay Resort come from?
During peak season, the majority of our guests come from Western Europe (Scandinavia and Holland are the biggest groups), America and Australasia. Also many local expatriates living and working in Thailand and nearby Asian countries from many, many countries visit us at that time of year.
During other times, the mix is about 50% foreigners (from Thailand and abroad) and 50% Thais.
The reason why foreigners make up the largest group during peak season is that people from abroad usually plan and book their holidays well in advance and the resort fills up fast. Locals tend to try to book closer to the holidays and we are often already fully booked.
