Elephant Trekking
I want to take my children elephant trekking. How long can we go trekking for and do we need to make a reservation?

Elephant Village offers 30 minutes and 1 hour trekking. No reservations are necessary. |
Can small children and babies go elephant trekking?

Yes, the elephants have a wooden seat on their backs where riders sit. Many parents at the resort take their small children trekking with them. They hold the children on their laps. |
Do the wooden seats have umbrellas and seatbelts?
Is there an elephant show?

They typically have a short show after your ride.

Can I combine a trip to go elephant trekking with a stop in Hua Hin?

Absolutely. If you book the stop in advance, the driver can take you to Hua Hin. If you know what time you would like to return to the resort, your return transfer can be booked. Otherwise, you can get a taxi to the resort from Hua Hin.

Do I need to make a reservation in advance for the dinner and classical dance show at Sasi Restaurant?

Yes, our front desk would be happy to call and make a reservation for you at least 1 day in advance to ensure availability. |
Are children welcome at the restaurant?
Can the resort driver take us to the restaurant and then collect us after the show?

Yes, just book the transfer at the front desk. |
What if my family and I would like to go to the night market in Hua Hin after the show? How would we get there?

SASI Restaurant typically has free shuttles from the restaurant into Hua Hin to the night market. They can drop you at the market. |
How would we return from Hua Hin?

If you know the time you would like to leave Hua Hin, you can book a transfer from the resort. If you do not know the time you would like to leave Hua Hin, you can get a taxi from Hua Hin back to Dolphin Bay. |
Koh Talu Snorkelling Trip
Do I need to book the trip in advance? If so, how far in advance do I need to make a reservation?

It's best to book at least 1 day in advance so the visibility of the water and the weather conditions can be checked. |
Will my family and I have a private vehicle or will we share transportation with others?

Depending on the size of your family, you might share a minibus with other tourists from Hua Hin who are also joining the trip. If your family is large, then you could have your own private vehicle. It is best to check with the front desk. |
How long is the drive from Dolphin Bay Resort to Pranburi town and then to where we would catch the speedboat?
|
It takes 20 minutes to drive to Pranburi where you will meet the minibus going to Koh Talu. From there it's approximately another 1 1/2 - 2 hours drive south to get to the pier where you catch the speedboat to the island. |
