There are many things guests can do while visiting Khao Dang – hiking up to the viewpoint at the peak for a breathtaking view of the national park area and villages surrounding the park or opt for a more relaxing boat trip in Khao Dang Canel for a visit of the local fishing village and stop to make merit and pay respect at the Khao Dang Temple.
KHAO DANG VIEW POINT
The trail to the viewpoint is a steep climb of 157 metres and takes approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour depending on the physical condition of visitors. The climb is quite challenging but the view is well worth it. Make sure you reach the summit with the viewpoint wooden sign to enjoy the best view. We recommend for an early visit for sunrise or before the sunset.
The climb is not suitable for elderly and young children. Please make sure to take plenty of drinking water, wear sunscreen and proper shoes suitable for trekking and hiking and bring along mosquito repellent. It is best to visit in a group and avoid the climb after a heavy rain. Please note that there are no national park service official stationed on the path.
